• In October 2022, the number of active wallets (UAW) shows signs of recovery, compared to September 2022, an increase of 6,84% (2 million). But, when compared with October 2021, where there was an increase of 31%, this is all exactly a decline.
• In Arbitrum and Optimism, the number of active wallets (UAW) increased by 501% and 83,31%, respectively. This growth is driven by the integration with Lido, which gave L2 blockchains $9 million in wETH.
• Through a partnership with Google Cloud, NEAR increased its UAW by 1332,85% compared to September 2022.
• TVL DeFi in October 2022 increased by 5,33% ($83 billion) compared to September. Ethereum still holds 61,97% dominance with $51 billion locked in smart contracts.
• Two weeks after launch, the Aptos APT token has a $1 billion market cap, making it one of the top 50 cryptocurrencies.
• While NFT trading volume and number of sales decreased by 30% compared to September, the number of unique traders increased by 18%.
• Polygon NFT trading volume and number of sales increased by 770% and 109% compared to September 2022 due to the success of Reddit NFT collections.
• Over $2022 billion was stolen in October 1, the highest monthly value this year.

• The number of unique active wallets (UAW) in crypto games increased by 8% ($912K) compared to the previous month, their dominance remains at over 48%.
• Gameta, the new Web3 gaming platform on the BNB network, became the most used Dapp in September, surpassing PancakeSwap, with over $1,33 million in unique wallets in the last 30 days.
• In September, due to the P2E NFT gaming tournament, Benji Bananas (by Animoca Brands) increased the number of unique active wallets by more than 2400% compared to the previous month.
• Sandbox Alpha Season 3 has over 90 different levels of mediocre fun, 4M users and over 200K daily active users.
• In this bear market, Move-To-Earn projects are gaining popularity. Sweat Economy hit a record 10000 NFTs on Near Protocol. StepApp will be available for iOS and Android on December 1st, and OliveX, the digital fitness company behind Dustland, has partnered with The Sandbox to develop the fitness metaverse.
• The two NFT games Blankos Block Party and Star Atlas were the first Web3 games to be released on the Epic Games Store for PC.
• The Gods Unchained TCG was among the top five NFT collections in terms of trading volume with sales of over $18 million in September.
• In September, investments in crypto games and projects related to the metaverse were the lowest in 2022, only $156 million.

• In October 2022, funding in the GameFi space increased by 45% compared to September 2022 from $0,133 billion to $0,193 billion.
• Homa received the largest investment of the month, $100 million. The company creates tools for mobile game developers, such as an A/B testing SDK, and recently partnered with Sorare to build web applications.
• The second largest funding round was closed in October by Horizon Blockchain Games.
• Almost all of the new volume happened on Ronin/Axie Infinity.
• The reason for the jump in volume was the first unlock of $AXS for investors and the game team.
• The spike in volume on Ronin was driven by the token unlock event on Axie Infinity, which unlocked 8% of the total token supply, prompting investors to move their tokens to exchanges and cash out in bulk.
• MAU remained at the level of September, while the number of new users decreased slightly.
• The breakdown of the number of unique users by chain remained the same as in September.
• BNB saw a slight increase in new user rates from 8% in September to 13% in October at the expense of Polygon, likely as the hype around Arc8 Polygon has subsided.
• Splinterlands and Alien Worlds continue to be the top two games on GameFi, with Alien Worlds overtaking Splinterlands in terms of active users.
