Gamedev studio Square Enix entered into a partnership with Enjin and announced the joint release of the digital collection of Final Fantasy VII. In order to get NFT, you need to order some Final Fantasy VII products in the store Square Enix dedicated to their 25th anniversary. Each product will contain a digital code that will serve as an NFT collectible item code that users will be able to use as early as 2023 on the Efinity network.

In May Square Enix announced their plans to issue tokens and invest in Web3. The game studio has said it will launch more NFTs with its games as part of its 2022 business strategy. The first success in the field of NFT stimulated the studio to pursue new initiatives in the field of blockchain.

In 2020, the studio held an investment round for The Sandboxthanks to Square Enix and other TSB investors managed to raise $2 million. Earlier in July Cointelegraph Markets Pro talked to Vitek Radomski (Chief Technologist Enjin) as part of Ask-Me-Anything. As soon as the bear market subsides, blockchain games will emerge, and more established developers will create cool NFT games that will not only be played to earn money, but also a lot of fun to play, Witek says.

In the meantime, it's worth remembering VR in the metaverses. While there is an opinion that the Metaverse and VR are naturally a couple, some feel that the two should go their separate ways.
