Canadian studio Horizon Blockchain Games, developing skyweaver announced that after 2.5 years of development, they are ready to present the game to everyone and open beta will be launched on February 8, access to which will no longer require a special code, as in previous stages.

About the game

skyweaver - P2E TCG (collectible card game) game. The project appeared at a not very favorable time for P2E, but immediately raised $3,75 million and the support of many prominent market players. Unfortunately, many studios, in pursuit of speed, release absolutely unviable products, but Skyweaver was developed systematically and with soul, and, finally, came close to release.

The game has a bright catchy visual style, which is a mixture of fantasy and techno themes. The gameplay is very reminiscent of such giants of this genre as Hearthstone and Gods Unchained. But regarding these projects, Skyweaver has several original mechanics. So, for example, the location of the map on the battlefield affects the course of the game.

Among the advantages of the game there is a Discovery mode, in which players choose only the prism of the hero (This is a certain characteristic of the hero, it determines the type of creatures and spells. There are 5 of them in total: Strength, Dexterity, Wisdom, Intelligence and Heart), and then plays this card randomly collected from cards. prism deck. All cards are balanced, so everything will depend only on your skills.

skyweaver offers another interesting variant of the game, presented not so long ago, at a soft launch - this is "Conquest". It is a key element of the game's economy and is effectively a "winning streak".

You have one life. Defeat and you are out. You need to pay 1 silver card or 1.5 USDC for entry. For 1 or 2 wins, you will receive a silver card (or 2), and for 3 - gold and silver. Without victories, you will only get experience.

Gold cards appear in the game only thanks to the players who win in the Conquest, and silver cards due to them, as well as the players occupying the highest places in the top. They receive such cards as a reward at the end of each week.

Conquest can be played in both the aforementioned Discovery mode and Constructed (when the deck is already built by you in advance). Also, you will not be able to change the hero between games in Conquest. It is worth paying attention to the fact that you will be given players with a similar number of victories to your opponent.

A little about the economy

The economy of the game is completely controlled by the players. The number of cards on the market and the demand for them depends only on the players. All cards are NFT (the game is based on the Ethereum sidechain - Polygon), are fully owned by the player and are stored on the Sequence wallet.

There are 3 types of cards in the game: basic silver and gold. Basic ones cannot be traded, they are tied to your account, and you can get them for leveling up. Silver and gold can be traded, we have already written about their receipt above.

The project has its own P2P marketplace for trading cards, it is made on Niftyswap (a modification of Uniswap). It combines honest prices, depending only on demand, and the speed of transactions. The price automatically includes a 7% developer commission.

Unfortunately, Russia and many other CIS countries fell under the developer's sanctions, but most likely this problem is solved by a banal VPN, it is unlikely that any other measures of pressure on these countries will appear, so you can safely get acquainted with the project. #DYOR
