About the game

Nine Chronicles Is an Idle MMORPG developed by Planetarium in partnership with Ubisoft. The client is on the Unity engine, and the backend is entirely on the blockchain, which is quite a rarity. Usually, the creators of crypto games do not bother too much, they make a token, NFT assets, and everything else goes by the blockchain, being processed on their servers. Here, absolutely all actions go through the blockchain, which gives complete transparency, data safety and honesty (your character will not disappear due to a fire in the data center, an admin's friend will not be able to quietly draw himself a top gear from the admin panel and other delights of standard MMOs are excluded here ).

The game focuses on craft, in order to develop your character, you will have to constantly extract loot in PvE and craft more powerful equipment.

Also not unimportant component of the game is arenawhere characters can fight each other, rising in the rankings. The arena season has just ended, in which the developers actively collaborated with the community in order to take into account all the nuances and wishes. At the end of the season, almost a million $ in project tokens was raffled off.

Token

NCG Token (NineChroniclesGold) is used in the game to buy and sell equipment in the in-game market, as well as to sharpen it. Also, the coin is received as a reward for achievements in the arena and for mining. Max Supply token 1,000,000,000, as of today 266,734,171 tokens have been “printed”, of which only 120 million are in circulation (according to CMC). On the market in the game, an 8% commission is kept from each transaction, these tokens go to the special storage address (as well as those that are paid for sharpening), thereby lowering circulation (although I did not find the conditions for unlocking this storage).

There is a bridge to withdraw the coin, the wrapped token is traded on Gate, KuCoin, Okex and Sushiswap, so there are no problems with the sale.

How to start?

The game is currently only available on PC. You also need to access the game invite... You can use this , if it has already run out of entries - ask for a new one in our chat... When you click on the invite link, you will be asked to log in via Twitter. After authorization, you will have access to a link to download the game and an invitation code, which will need to activate the game. There are a limited number of codes, if they run out - wait until the timer ends. Previously, it was a whole quest - the codes were sorted out in a couple of seconds, but now the influx of users has subsided a little and you can easily grab an invite.

After installing the game, launch the launcher and be patient - the first launch can take more than two hours. A luncher is essentially a node, it will download the last snapshot, synchronize the blocks, and only then will it let you into the game. To speed up the process, you can use snapshot manager - launch it, wait until the snapshot is unpacked, then launch the launcher itself.

First steps

So you are finally in the game. You can create a character and start conquering dungeons. Let's run a little through the interface:

Highlighted in red blocks from left to right: a chest with a strip - when filled, it allows you to fully restore energy, then the energy itself - it takes 5 units for one entry into the dungeon, then your NCG and buttons that open Quests / Inventory / Craft panel / Mail.

The two red blocks at the bottom are dungeon entrances. Mimisbrunnr - high lvl content, and the platform on the right will send you to regular dungeons.

At first, the game will guide you by the handle through the first dungeons, show you what and where to craft, there should be no problems with this.

Craft

As you progress through the dungeons, you will have access to new recipes for crafting.

The thing has basic stats and additional ones, in the jacket in the screenshot the basic stat is 3141HP, everything below is dopas, the percentage indicates the chance with which this stat will be added to the main stat when crafting. With a successful craft, all four parameters can be added to you (great success). The range of the stat dropout is indicated in brackets.

There are 3 types of recipes - basic, premium and mimir. Premium requires more resources, but additional stats are fatter there. Mimir is a high-lvl craft - resources for it are mined in Mimisbrunnr, and the craft itself also costs a decent amount of NCG.

Upgrade / sharpening - in order to sharpen a thing you will need a similar one, which will be destroyed in the sharpening process. White things are sharpened with white, green - green, etc. Those. you don't need the exact same thing, the simplest of the same color is enough. When sharpening, it increases primary stat, but when sharpening on + 4 / + 7 the additional stats are also increased by 30%. Also, when sharpening at + 4 / + 7, you will have to pay a certain amount of NCG.

Market

Well, what an MMO without a market - here you can sell your old things and buy better equipment. Beware, prices for top-end gear bite.

You can put a thing on the market for free, it will hang there for a certain number of blocks, if during this time it is not bought, you need to register the sale again. After the sale, a commission of 8% will be deducted from the seller. When you shop, I advise you to sort things by CP.

Arena

Approximately every 6 hours (depending on the speed of block generation) you are given 5 tickets to the arena, you can challenge a player with a rating close to yours, if you win, you will receive + x points to the rating (where x depends on the difference in the rating), and also a certain amount of resources for crafting food.

Season 0 is over. The results are summarized below.
