Hello everyone, Mudi is with you and today I want to introduce you to the game The Lost Glitches.

The project was developed by gamedev studio holding studios. After the merger and the formation of a new larger gaming studio, it was renamed Mimunga Gaming.

You can get acquainted with the members of the team on the official OnlineThe project has partners who help them in solving issues related to blockchain technologies.

What is The Lost Glitches?

Let's now delve into the details of the gameplay and get to know the game better. The Lost Glitches is a collectible card game with RPG elements developed on the Unity engine. Gameplay is similar to skyweaver or Gods Unchained, but there are slight differences. At the start of the game, you have to choose one of five syndicates that determine the type of game that best suits the player's style.

Let's take a closer look at syndicates and their features.

  • Guardians of Eternity has a defensive play style, great for long play sessions.
  • “Maxim's Curators” are strong in numbers, good in the early game and able to take the opponent in a few rounds.
  • Steadfast Hand syndicate players are strong at stealth attacks, deal burst damage, and are good in the mid game when damage over time kicks in.
  • Those who have chosen the “Song of the Chain” syndicate have a passive-aggressive playstyle, a weak attack in the early game, but if used correctly, they can accumulate serious damage quite quickly.
  • Keepers of the Source have a defensive play style, use the enemy's power to their own detriment, are great in the mid game, draining and abusing the enemy's resources from the very beginning.

We figured out the syndicates, now let's get acquainted with the Artifacts. They are designed to be equipped and give the player abilities. The game board has 5 card slots for one player. The card can be donated at any time. Depending on the type of card being burned, the player receives various bonuses and abilities.

The cards required for the game can be obtained in many ways, one of them is booster packs. Each booster contains classic, exclusive and collectible cards with different drop rates.

  • Classic Cards is the basis of the game. You can earn and unlock classic cards by exploring the game world and completing missions, as well as winning PvP matches.
  • Exclusive cards are shiny holographic versions of the Classic Edition cards.
  • Collectible cards are holographic cards with animations and special effects.
  • Exclusive and collectible cards can be obtained by winning tournaments.

Card rarity does not affect gameplay or enhance your build, they only change appearance.

Players will also be able to personalize their game with cosmetic items such as companions, sleeves, equipment, card frames, and animated cards, some of which they can also trade. The price depends on the rarity of the cosmetic item. In addition to gaming NFT cards, there is a collection Deep Sky Network. Among all the NFTs in this collection, there are 22 Glitch NFTs with specific classes: Pioneers, Gamblers, Seers, Enlightened, Ethereum Elite, Conquerors, Diamond Minds, Nomads, Explorers, Zombies, Mind Readers, Miners, Prophets, Mages, Rogues, Dreamers, Thieves, BTC Pirates, Immortals.

It is not necessary to own the Glitch NFT to play, but if you decide to purchase it, you will receive:

  • Unique avatar.
  • Special Skill.
  • Bonus Booster Packs.
  • Special title.
  • A full list of products will be published closer to the release day.

By owning the Glitch NFT, you can join 1 of 5 Syndicates: Steadfast Hands, Maxim Curators, Guardians of Eternity, Song of the Chain, or Guardians of the Source. This can be done using the user interface at Online.

While you can join the first four syndicates simply by owning NFT Glitch, the 5th syndicate, Guardians of the Source, is special. To join this Syndicate, you will need a 3D figurine “3D Figurine of the Sentinel of the Coins"and cartoon.

It is not necessary to be a leader in the Syndicate to play, but if you decide to become one, you will receive:

  • Unique avatar.
  • Bonus Booster Packs.
  • Special title.
  • Syndicate pass.
  • Seasonal subscription.
  • Increasing reputation to level 10.
  • A full list of products will be published closer to the release day.

NFT Glitch can be staked and receive 1 $LOST token per day. If you drain more than one NFT, then the multiplier for receiving tokens will work. The more NFTs you stake, the more $LOST tokens you get per day for 1 NFT.

Now let's see where the developers get the money to develop the project.

The sale of NFT's first 10 PFP collection, The Lost Glitches, which sold out in August 000, generated approximately $2021 million, which was invested in the development of the project.

In addition, the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure | @BMWK funded the game with €431.612. This funding went to scale the team. Now they are starting discussions on the first round of external funding. From the side of the project itself, investments are also planned, namely in the SandBox land in order to build The Glitched Land.

And now we come to the most interesting - Tokenomics.

The $LOST token is an ERC-20 utility token. $LOST is needed to buy items, boosters, tickets to PvP tournaments, hire NPCs in the game to help in missions and to create new NFTs.

Percent distribution of the $LOST token:

32% - To earn players;

20% - Treasury;

16% - Community and Ecosystem Fund;

14% - Marketing and collaborations;

10% - Development Fund;

8% – NFT staking;

Those 32% intended for players' earnings will be distributed by activities in the game:

  • Weekly ranked PvP events;
  • Daily quests;
  • Exclusive quests for NFT holders;
  • Seasonal PvP tournaments;
  • Exclusive events;
  • Collector's Awards;
  • Achievement awards.

Since $LOST is an ERC-20 token, they have successfully integrated into the second-level ImmutableX blockchain. We all know that the commissions in the Ethereum network are very high and it is not advisable to create a game with such a payment system. Games require a large number of transactions and not everyone can pay $10-20 for each. This approach will increase the entry threshold for most users, thereby reducing their number. For this, solutions such as ImmutableX were created.

ImmutableX is an L2 scaling solution for the Ethereum blockchain that allows NFT transactions to be completed without fees.

If you want to buy a deck, then the cards are sold in the NFT store Tokentrove.

Conclusions

From the outside, the project looks promising. The amount of funds collected for the game is not impressive. On average, crypto games raise ~$8 million for development, but according to them they are going to have another round of funding and maybe we will see a tidy sum, from funds like Paradigm, Griffin Gaming Partners, etc. I was surprised that they were able to get funds from the German Ministry, how they did it remains a mystery to me.

Development team with experience, have a game in the portfolio, recently expanded the staff. The quality and drawing of the cards is at a good level, and everything else, from the card table, the game menu, and ending with the site.

The approach to token utility is similar to Skyweaver. You cannot buy something in the game that will give you an advantage over your opponent. This tells us about the sustainability of the project, since we will not see the rapid rise and fall of online to 0, as happens in games where the economic model is built in a different way. The game is an esports game and I'm glad that the developers understand the consequences of introducing the PayToWin system for this genre.

After analyzing all these data, I have a positive opinion about the project. It seems to me that developers who refuse to earn big money by weeding out the PayToWin system deserve respect from the players. In a game where the financial situation of users will not affect the victory over an opponent, it poses a challenge for developers to make an interesting and high-quality game.
