And then we will witness a trend towards outfitting and tuning avatars, including PFP jeeps. So L'Oréal teamed up with Ready player me (meta-avatars) brings cosmetics to Web3. And adidas has released a digital clothing collection that can be used on BAYC, MAYC, MetaHero collections. The number of partners will grow. This is a separate clothing layer on top of the original image from the NFT collection. https://atelier.adidas.com/

Given adidas' close ties to Ready Player Me, it's reasonable to expect these avatars to be dressed up in adidas. At least mine is already in RTFKT, but that's just a solid skin. Adidas has clothes like separate transferable NFTs that can be taken off and put on another avatar. And even jpeg.

2022 was a turning point in the transition to an era post-retail. In a few years, a business that does not sell physical or digital goods through gaming platforms and vice versa, if it does not sell physical items with the ability to deliver to game worlds or social networks, will not be called OMNIchannel.

This is one way to create a more sustainable business model by bringing brands into game worlds and the metaverse.

For myself, I identified three areas in web3:

  • Post-retail
  • On-chain reputation
  • Meta Avatars as Profiles

This is something that can shift and improve the business models of games (and not only), and with it the advertising market.
