And the developers have received a large portion of feedback from the community, are finalizing the latest features and are preparing to roll out the largest and most anticipated update to date, which will contain DIP-4.
Who is this DIP of yours?
DIP stands for Duck Improvement Proposal, which means “Duck Improvement Proposal” by analogy with EIP (Ethereum Improvement Proposal). For example, in the last update of London there were 5 EIPs: EIP-1559, EIP-3198, EIP-3529, EIP-3541 and EIP-3554
Similarly, updates take place in the Waves Duck game using DIPs. Let's consider it in more detail since it is the largest in recent years and from that moment the game will begin to actively scale.
What goes in there?
Baby Ducks - it is a new gaming NFT with a price of 0,1 EGG, making it affordable even if the token price rises to $ 10k. Each duck has its own growth rate, which is initially 5%. You can increase it up to 100% and then the Baby Duck will turn into an adult duck available in the incubator. You can raise a duckling either by feeding or by wrestling. If you don't do this every day, the duckling will lose 5% of its growth rate every day. With food, you can raise a duckling 10% per day. The cost of feed depends on the current price of a duck in an incubator according to the formula:
1% increment price = withdrawal price * 0,7 * 0,01
Thus, players can raise a chick duck into an adult duck in 10 days, so that growth will be 30% cheaper than buying a new duck.
Duck Wars - PvP Battles To start a battle, the player must choose one of his duck cubs, the Jedi Duck, and challenge the opponent. The winner will receive some percentage of the growth. Any of these percentage gains can be converted to EGG. The player can determine his own share.
There are three combat levels available:
- The duckling can win a 2% gain.
- 7% on the second
- to 20%.
However, in every battle there is a loser who loses the same growth rate. If the growth rate of a duck drops to zero, it will die.
The battles are turn-based. Each turn the player chooses which part of the opponent to attack and which part to defend - head, body or tail.
In general, we get not just experiments with DeFi and NFT as it was in the beginning, but a full-fledged crypto game.
Jedi Scholarship or scholarship program or just rent
Players will be able to capitalize on this through a new mechanic - renting out their NFT ducks as Jedi.
How will this work?
Jedi owners can estimate rental fees. For example, if a duckling wins a battle with a 20% growth rate with a 10% Jedi commission, it will grow by 18%, and the remaining 2% will go to the Jedi owner as EGG. The Jedi Duck can be rented once every 24 hours (1440 blocks), after which it becomes available again for rent to anyone.

It has already become a tradition for Waves Ducks to hold weekly communities - rounds that allow you to win EGGs by participating in contests, and then use them to create an NFT duck.
