Ubisoft Launches Rabbids NFT to Finance UNICEF

Last update:

Ubisoft Launches Rabbids Collectible Digital Assets for Fundraising at the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

Earlier we wrote about the first steps Ubisoft in the crypto gaming industry - Hashcraft. The gaming giant has gone further and implemented a charity that will eliminate any concerns about regulator interference.

Ubisoft Company, which is part of Blockchain Game Alliance, Launches 55 Rabbids Collectibles as NFT on the Ethereum Blockchain.

All proceeds from token transactions will be donated directly to UNICEF.

How does it work?

Created by Ubisoft's Strategic Innovation Lab, Rabbids Tokens are original collectibles. Members cannot trade them or keep them forever: they are "always for sale", which means that at any given time, another user can purchase it if he pays a specified value in Ethereum cryptocurrency. Former owners are then given a Proof of Plausible Ownership (POPO), a token certificate confirming that users once owned Rabbids tokens to add to their collection.

Tokens are transformed every time they transfer to a new owner, changing the appearance. Each time a player buys one of the tokens, he automatically contributes to a good cause, and the amount of the transaction is sent directly to the UNICEF fund.

Rabbids Tokens are standard tokens ERC-721 Non-Fungible Token (NFT), tokens can be used in any other game adopting this widespread standard.
