Is the gaming revolution coming?

Yesterday at GDC2019, Google introduced the Stadia service, with which users can play games with high-quality graphics, using virtually any device with a Chrome browser and Internet access.

Users do not have to buy an expensive PC or console: all the calculations required to render an in-game image at resolutions up to 8K and 60FPS will be done in the cloud. Such is the "cloud gaming" turns out.

Google believes Stadia is "the beginning of the gaming revolution" and "the transition to a future without consoles." This event excited many investors and the market in general. Sony and Nintendo were particularly hit, with their shares already down 3,21% and 3,38%. Everyone will suffer, one way or another. Starting from the above, Microsoft, ending with all sorts of Steam and Valve. What they will answer is not yet clear.

Games can be run through Chrome using a Google account, which means that theoretically there is no need to install them on your PC, as well as the need to purchase or upgrade the console and use the Steam store.

Another feature of Stadia will be a bunch of YouTube.

When watching a stream on YouTube, a special button will appear, by pressing which you can launch a game from the stream on your device in 5 seconds without any downloads ...

Stadia subscription pricing has yet to be announced ...

If the whole thing works, as Google promised us at GDC, then this could give a serious boost to the gaming industry.
