EOS VC Mike Novograc invests in Lucid Sight

Last update:

EOS VC Galaxy Digital Fund multimillionaire and owner cryptocurrency bank Galaxy Digital Mike Novogratz invested in one of the top crypto game developers - Lucid Sight.

In addition to them, Salem Partners, Digital Currency Group, Breakaway Growth, Frontier Venture Capital and Animoca Brands took part in the investment round. Among the existing shareholders, it is worth highlighting: Major League Baseball (MLB), Rana Capital Partners, Los Angeles Lakers VP R&D Joey Buss and AppOnboard founder - pioneer of the mobile games industry Jonathan Zweig.

Total Lucid Sight managed to attract more $6 million. The funds will be spent on expanding its line of games to traditional gaming platforms to launch SDK (development kit) called Scarcity Engine at the end of this year, which will bridge the gap between the blockchain and traditional gaming platforms.

Saaf will also give a talk at GamesBeatSummer2019.

This is very, very good news for EOS. In fact, this could mean MLB CryptoBaseball (recently renamed MLB Champions) will move to EOS. MLBC is not just a crypto game. It is an officially licensed product with support for Major League Baseball and is watched by millions of people.

It is safe to say that Galaxy EOS VC is already making the second true investment in cryptogaming, having previously invested in Mythical Games (with employees from Activision and Blizzard), who are currently working on Blankos and NFT standard dGoods for EOS.

As they say, rarely, but aptly!

We recently had a couple of articles on Lucid Sight games:
