Alpha

Origin is scheduled to launch in alpha, and the developers have big plans to make the game available worldwide through the Mavis Hub and Android APK. During the launch of the alpha version, player feedback will be important, which should ultimately help the developers with their tips for improving the game and fixing bugs before its official release. It is important to note that SLP or AXS rewards will not be available during Origin Alpha testing. All progress and resources will be cleared from accounts prior to the official launch of the game.

Next step. zero season

After the alpha stage has passed, the zero season will begin, in which the feedback from the players on fixing and improving the game and gameplay will be reviewed. Based on how the testing will go, the developers promise to transfer earned SLP from Battles v2 to Origin during the zero season, if this can be done, then Battles v2 will be closed after that. Failing that, in a pinch, Battles v2 will run in parallel for a while until everything is ready to transition.

What about axi?

Your axies are here to stay and will be available on Origin and all future events in the Axie universe.

Game mechanics

In Origin, your axies will attack immediately after the cards are played. Players will take turns using their cards instead of choosing them at the start of the round as was the case in Battles v2. Players will now be in constant action, either playing their cards or keeping a close eye on their opponent's actions. Thus, you can call the new dynamic gameplay more fun and interesting, which adds to the feeling of complete control over your axis.

Energy and cards

Unused energy and cards will no longer accumulate over turns during combat as they did before. Now players will have less desire to skip a turn and not use their energy or cards.

Map Changes

Most of the maps you know from Battles v2 have been ported to Origin. However, most of these cards will now work differently, as they will have either offensive or defensive value, rather than both. Some cards you are familiar with have received new ability descriptions.

I am your eyes and ears

The new cards will be the eyes and ears of your axes, which should boost the meta combos so well. Based on gameplay on Battles v2, players could only use four axi skills. In Origin you will find the use of all six axi skills.

Runes and talismans

Origin will feature new power-ups, runes, and talismans. Using runes and talismans on your axes will give you buffs. If the runes will give the axi new abilities, then the amulets are like talismans that enhance the innate abilities of your axi! To create these items, players will need to earn off-chain resources, the so-called. moon shards, for victories in battles. The first runes and talismans will not have NFT value, but that's it for now. The developers promise to make more powerful runes and talismans in the future, which will be based on NFT.

Ordinary runes and talismans can be crafted using moon shards and SLP; it will be one of the first SLP burn engines included with Origin.

Runes and talismans of each season will be removed from the game and will not be transferred to the next season. However, obsolete runes and talismans can be disenchanted for crafting resources. Lunar shards will also drop every season, don't forget to use them.

Goodbye critical strike. Long live the rage

Players who play Battles v2 have expressed dissatisfaction and frustration with critical hits, this random element has often affected matches and turned everything upside down. Thus, it was decided to remove random critical hits in Origin. However, rather in return, rather than in spite of, the game will introduce a new game mechanic, rage, which will accumulate during the battle.

Starting Axis

You are probably already familiar with Booba, this is one of the many starter axes that players can play the game with for free. True, starting axes are not NFTs, and you can’t earn SLP with them, at least for the moment. Perhaps someday this will change and starting axies will receive NFT status.
